Research Partner & Origin, Where It All Started

Virtual Vehicle Research GmbH is Europe's largest R&D center for virtual vehicle technology. Based in Graz, Austria, and funded as a COMET K2 Center of Excellence, around 300 researchers work on simulation, AI, digital twins, and model-based development with a network of over 80 industrial and 48 scientific partners worldwide. Their work spans automotive, rail, aerospace, energy, health tech, maritime, and defense. This is where Context64.ai was born.

Our core knowledge graph technology originated inside Virtual Vehicle's research environment developed, stress-tested, and proven in one of the most demanding engineering ecosystems in Europe. In 2024, we spun out as an independent company. The partnership never stopped.

What we do together

Today, Virtual Vehicle is both a customer and a research partner. Together, we push into new territory  exploring how AI and knowledge graphs transform not just vehicle development, but entire research domains. Joint projects bring the C64.AI stack into large-scale, publicly funded R&D initiatives with leading industrial partners opening new verticals like energy intelligence, where engineering data meets operational complexity at scale.

Why this matters
  • Research insights from joint projects feed directly into our product roadmap grounded in real engineering challenges, not assumptions
  • Joint R&D initiatives create a pipeline into new industries and large enterprise partners far beyond automotive
  • A shared history and deep technical trust that only comes from building something together from the ground up

Virtual Vehicle isn't just where we came from. It's where we go to find out what's next.
